Living waste free can be hard: you endeavour to be a minimalist and reduce your impact on the environment, and at the same time need to find products that can act as all-rounders with no or compostable packaging. Luckily we have tested a few over the years, and have found some that could become some of your personal faves too. Here's a top 3 of our favourite waste free products:

Climate Positive Notebooks, available at The Kind Store

These are not only beautiful, they are also kind to the environment. Made from recycled stone, these pocket diaries are the world’s first climate-positive notebook. Small enough to fit in your pocket and ideal for writing down work notes, these pads are made from water-proof Stone Paper with perforated pages. Once done with them, you can recycle them in the waste-to-energy, plastic-bin or let them photodegrade in nature.

We hate plastic bags as much as we hate the idea that using a cotton tote or paper bag is also harmful to the environment. Thankfully JungleVine® Foundation's founder Bill Newbrough discovered a natural fiber in rural Laos and brought back the Nature Bag, a bag so strong it can be used to grocery shop, go the beach or even to carry books! The JungleVine® is made from perennial vine and the most sustainable option out there, which easily makes it one of our favourite waste free products.

Green shampoo melts, available at Conscious House London

In a sea of shampoo choices we found one that is waste free, biodegradable, pH neutral, vegan, palm-free, silicone-free and SLS-free. Oh and did we mention how delicious they smell? These shampoo melts give a luxurious wash that will rejuvenate hair without impacting the environment, and have an added bonus: you're most likely not going to need a conditioner after using these. Which means one less product to buy. How can we resist?
