Black History Month: How to Plan and Celebrate, with Belovd Agency

Updated: Sep 10, 2020

We're thrilled to announce that our client Jess Mally has associated with Marvyn Harrison, founder of Dope Black Dads, to launch Belovd Agency, the consultancy that wants to 'help businesses create a 10 year plan to make DEI obsolete'.

Jess Mally is a London based writer, speaker, podcast host, creative and events producer, consultant and the host of An Introduction to Antiracism. She has a passion for social change, mental health, the arts and spirituality, and recently released Young King, a visual masterpiece that celebrates black men in all their beauty, vulnerability and strength, with McKnasty.

Her new venture, Belovd Agency, is a DEI and representation partnership, providing education, training and strategy for the advancement of all intersections of humanity in the workplace. Belovd's first point of call is to partner with and support businesses ahead of Black History Month.

With Belovd, Jess Mally and Marvyn Harrison will support business owners and companies with the Cultural Transformation we need to see across all sectors of society. Belovd wants to create a diverse, equitable and inclusive working environment for businesses, which is representative of the city they're located in and the industry where they operate.

Belovd is offering an end to end consultancy model and a list of products to support businesses in their cultural transformation goals. With this special webinar Belovd will help businesses celebrate and honour Black History Month with integrity and affinity.

As Jess Mally explained on her Instagram page, "Black History Month is just around the corner and in light of recent events it is more important than ever for businesses, organisations and institutions of education to approach this October with all the necessary diligence and attention."

"We know that can be easier said than done, so to support you and your business, we are running a free webinar on Tuesday, 15th September 2020 to help you work out HOW to plan for Black History Month." she explained.

Belovd's How to Celebrate Black History Month webinar will be covering:

- Is your organisation ready for Black History Month?

- What to do post-Black Lives Matter?

- The do's and don'ts for Black History Month

- How Belovd can help businesses further

As the webinar description states, the aims of Black History Month are to:

- Promote knowledge of the Black History, Culture and Heritage

- Disseminate information on positive Black contributions to British Society

- Heighten the confidence and awareness of Black people to their cultural heritage.

The webinar will take place on Sep 15, 2020 at 12:00 PM BST.
